It's Not Quite Rap...
...but it could be. Eddie Argos of Art Brut doesn't really sing, but rather talks over the music. His stories are generally very amusing, yet often true as well. This is a great band live or on record...but they are especially fun live. See photo of me and Eddie hanging after a show:

i think i've seen Eddie and Co. more times than any other band. i dont know how it happened. i like 'em, don't get me wrong. but more than anyone? at one point i think i had seen them like 5 times in 2yrs. maybe its that they're fun, and play chicago every 2mos for $10.. or maybe i'm a secret stalker
ReplyDeletethey have been known to play chicago quite a bit. i think they had like a 5 night stint at schubas not too long ago. but yes, they are fun...
